Who's Building in Tulsa: 7 Metro Firms on Oklahoma's Q2 2026 Expansion List

TULSA, OK — Seven Tulsa-area companies landed on Oklahoma's latest list of new and expanding businesses, and together they point to where the next wave of local jobs is headed: data centers, advanced manufacturing, spacecraft parts and a Tampa-based water technology firm that just set up shop here. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce's second-quarter 2026 report covers announcements made between April 23 and June 25.

What the State's Q2 Expansion Report Shows for Tulsa

The New and Expanding Oklahoma Companies report logged 19 announcements statewide for the quarter, carrying at least 685 new jobs and $2.07 billion in potential investment. The Tulsa metro claimed seven of those 19 entries, more than a third of the list.

The three Tulsa entries that published job counts add up to roughly 230 positions, a sizable share of the statewide total. One caveat worth knowing: Commerce builds the report from public announcements and says the figures may not be independently verified. Treat the numbers as company commitments, not payroll counts.

💼 The Big Three: Meta, Genesis Systems and Quantum Space

Meta. The biggest check on the list. Meta broke ground in April on the data center known as Project Anthem at the Fair Oaks site in east Tulsa, an investment of more than $1 billion. According to the state's announcement, the campus will support about 100 permanent operations jobs and more than 1,000 construction workers at peak, with Fortis Construction as general contractor. Meta is also working with Tulsa Tech and Tulsa Community College on a training pipeline aimed at more than 200 graduates a year in fiber optics, structured cabling, cooling systems, AI and data analytics. For most Tulsans, construction is the nearer-term opportunity, so trades workers should watch the contractors, not just Meta.

Genesis Systems. The Tampa company behind the WaterCube, a machine that pulls drinking water out of the air, picked Tulsa for a new manufacturing site expected to bring about 80 jobs. The company says it is hiring engineers, operators, technicians, assemblers and sales staff, and its careers page lists open positions in both Tampa and Tulsa. It has not published a Tulsa street address or pay ranges.

Quantum Space. The spacecraft company plans to build precision parts and propulsion tanks in the former Spartan Aircraft building, with at least 50 jobs and operations set to begin in the first quarter of 2027. We covered that announcement in June in Quantum Space Picks Tulsa.

🔧 Four Expansions With No Headcount Yet

The other four Tulsa-area names are enrolled in the state's Business Expansion Incentive Program, and none of them announced a job number:

Alfa Laval, Broken Arrow: equipment and retooling at its heat exchanger and boiler manufacturing operation.
Blue Arc Specialties, Claremore: construction of a new facility for its machine shop work.
Process Manufacturing Company, Tulsa: investment in a facility and equipment for fabricated metal products.
American Crating Company, Tulsa: new equipment for its wood crate and pallet production.

Say it plainly: none of these four has announced a hiring number. If you weld, run a CNC machine or work a production line, get your resume ready and watch for postings from these names over the next few quarters.

What It Means for Tulsa Job Seekers

The pattern lines up with what Tulsa has been seeing all year. Since the report closed, Crusoe opened a second Tulsa factory for AI data center equipment, and Greenheck announced 700 jobs in Owasso. Data center construction and the factories that supply it are pulling hard on the same trades: electricians, welders, machinists, assemblers and maintenance techs. That competition tends to push starting pay up, so compare offers before you take the first one.
