TULSA, OK — Crusoe cut the ribbon Monday on a second Tulsa factory, a 400,000-square-foot plant in northeast Tulsa off U.S. 169 near 36th Street North. The company says it now has more than 300 local craft workers building electrical gear for AI data centers across its two Tulsa plants, three times the 100 it expected when it arrived in 2024. For anyone who works with metal, wire or copper, that makes Crusoe one of the most interesting manufacturing employers in Green Country right now.

What Crusoe Builds in Tulsa

The Tulsa shops make the heavy electrical equipment that sits between the power grid and a data center: medium-voltage switchgear, low-voltage switchboards, electrical enclosures, industrial controls and custom copper busbar. On the floor, that work comes down to cutting, shaping and assembling sheet metal and copper parts.

The gear doesn't stay local. Crusoe says it has sent more than 2,500 switchboards to the Stargate site in Abilene, Texas, one of the biggest AI data center builds in the country.
