🔥 Who's Recruiting at Tulsa Tech

The OESC event listing names six employers with immediate openings, and says more will be there:

  • Tulsa Police Department. A natural fit if you want to keep serving in uniform.
  • ONE Gas. The Tulsa-based natural gas utility, the parent of Oklahoma Natural Gas. Field and technical work rewards the discipline the military teaches. Browse its openings at jobs.onegas.com.
  • Melton Truck Lines. The Tulsa flatbed carrier has a long track record of hiring veterans. If you drove heavy equipment in the service, ask about the path to a CDL. Learn more at meltontruck.com.
  • Saint Francis Hospital. The flagship of the Saint Francis Health System. Former medics and corpsmen should come ready to talk about their clinical experience.
  • City of Owasso. Municipal jobs in the suburb up U.S. 169, a short commute from north Tulsa.
  • Hyatt Regency Tulsa. Downtown hotel and hospitality work.

OESC hasn't published a headcount or a full list of roles for any of these employers, so we won't guess at one.

✅ Who This Event Is For

OESC built this one around veterans and their families. That includes military spouses, who often have to rebuild a career with every move. The event page doesn't spell out whether job seekers outside that group will be turned away. If you aren't a veteran or a military family member, call ahead before you make the drive.

Can't make the 29th? OESC's veteran services team, staffed by veterans, offers one-on-one career help for eligible veterans and spouses, plus monthly Veteran Job Clubs where you meet hiring companies face to face.

📋 How to Show Up Ready on October 29

  • Bring several copies of a civilian resume. Translate your MOS or rating into plain language. A recruiter at a utility or a hospital may not know what your job code means.
  • Bring your DD-214 if you have it. Some public employers ask for proof of service to apply veterans' preference.
  • Get there early. The event wraps at 1:30 p.m., and the best conversations happen before the line builds.
  • Plan the drive. The campus sits on East 91st Street, right next to Tulsa Riverside Airport.
  • Confirm before you go. OESC's listing doesn't mention registration or cost. Call OESC's Tulsa Ports Career Center at 918-581-2541 with questions.
